Resource-based Tourism (RBT) and the tourists they bring in to the region contribute greatly to the economy in Northwestern Ontario. Studies show that combined, RBT operators spend almost $80 Million per year operating their business. These expenditures ripple through the regional economy to other sectors in the retail, service and wholesale industries. RBT operators create many seasonal jobs and invest time and effort in their communities individually and through the KDCA. This page lists our regular RBT operator membership base. Find out more about each member, where they’re located, what makes them a great place to stay and get to know resource-based tourism in a better way.

Allied Members

KDCA’s allied membership base is a diversity of other, non-RBT businesses located both within and outside of Northwestern Ontario. They are key suppliers of goods and services to the RBT operators, and like the operators themselves, contribute directly and indirectly to the tourism economy. Below, you can find a list of these tourism-industry supporting businesses. Without their support and contributions, the RBT industry in Northwestern Ontario couldn’t operate so thanks allied members!
